Bookings

Deposit/Payment
A non refundable deposit equivalent to the first night's stay will be required to secure your booking.
- The total amount due less deposit received, is payable on arrival; balance payments will be processed using the payment card details that have been set against the booking. If you prefer an alternative payment you will need to let us know. Payment is appreciated by cash or debit card. Visa, Mastercard and Maestro are accepted.
- All prices are per room.
- Telephone enquiries may be held for up to 48 hours, unless otherwise agreed.
- All rooms are offered subject to their availability upon receipt of your deposit- this includes bookings via online travel agencies.
- Check- in is available between 3pm & 8pm, outside these hours check- in is strictly by prior agreement and maybe subject to an extra charge.
Cancellation Policy
When you book a holiday you are entering into a contract, in the unhappy event that you are forced to cancel your holiday you are legally obliged to pay a percentage or all of your holiday costs. We therefore strongly recommend that you arrange holiday cancellation insurance.If you cancel your stay at the Miclaran, the following charges will apply:
Deposit is non-refundable
14 days prior to date of arrival or later will be charged at 100%

In the event of a booking reduction within the 14 day period before arrival or once you have checked in, 100% of the original booking is payable.
In the event of a no show 100% of the booking is payable.
The date of cancellation will be taken as the date that your cancellation is notified and received by us.

Damages
Guests causing damage to the Guest House or property within, will be charged for replacement or repair. The lead guest/person who made the booking will be liable.Pets
We regret that pets cannot be accommodated, although guide and support dogs are welcome.Children
We only accept bookings for adults aged 16 years and over.

When you contact us to make a booking you enter into a contract with The Miclaran, to enable us to make your booking we collect the following information: Your name, postal address, e-mail address, phone number, credit/debit card details to process your deposit. We hold payment card details securely within PCI regulations until your stay is completed and the details are destroyed.Visitors to our website
When someone visits www.miclaran.co.uk we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information. We do this to find out the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone and the information is for the Miclaran use only.How the information is shared
To book direct via our website we use a third-party service Freetobook which acts as our online diary. As you add your information a booking summary will be generated, and payment card details need to be entered to complete the booking. You may book via one of the online travel agencies we work in partnership with, and the booking information is shared with freetobook and appears in our online diary. Freetobook are PCI compliant and have their own privacy policy.Your Rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have a number of rights as below;Access to personal data: You have a right to request a copy of the information we hold about you, should you wish to make such a request please email enquiries@miclaran.co.uk.
Correction of personal data: You can request us to rectify and correct any personal data that we are processing about you which is incorrect.
Right of Erasure: You can request us to erase your personal data where there is no compelling reason to continue processing. This right only applies in certain circumstances, it is not a guaranteed or absolute right.
Right to object to processing of personal data: You have the right to object to our use of your personal data which is processed based on our legitimate interests. However, we may continue to process your personal data, despite your objection, where there are compelling legitimate grounds to do so or we need to process your personal data in connection with any legal claims.
